Who in the world am I?

I am me.

I am Mama to Alice, my charismatic, spirited four year old. Alice in not her real name, but in many ways she reminds me of Alice from Alice in Wonderland.

I am Nelly to my husband, Hatta. Nelly is not my real name. I was given the pen name by him many, many moons ago. As you guessed it, Hatta is not my husband's real name. It is, however, the alias of The Mad Hatter.

I am the baby to two older sisters.

I am a granddaughter to a set of loving grandparents whom I do not call or write nearly enough.

I am an eternal pessimist trying to be an optimist.

I am a lover of seafood.

I am a teacher. I no longer work in the profession, though I believe teaching never leaves your system.

I am an animal lover. Much to my husband's dismay, I won't even kill a cockroach.

I am not a neat freak. Control freak, maybe, but I'm working on that.

I am happily addicted to coffee. I blame Alice.

I am not-so-secretly in love with Captain Jack Sparrow.

"'Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise.'

'I think I should understand that better,' Alice said very politely, 'if I had it written down: but I can't quite follow it as you say it.'"
